Bluevibe Now Available As Software License

Heraklion, Greece, April 5, 2011- Proximity Marketing system manufacturers Cytech Ltd., have just announced the release of a Bluetooth Marketing Software-Only Solution, adding to the Bluevibe product family.

The Bluevibe Software is a software-only product that can be installed on any hardware, laptop, netbook, desktop or mini-PC. It combines all the powerful features of the company’s Bluevibe Hotspot range of Bluetooth Marketing products with the ability to run on different hardware form factors and already existing Bluetooth marketing hardware (required specs).

Bluevibe software is ideal for the proximity marketing professionals who either already own a number of hardware from other vendors, or intend to install a large network of Bluevibe Hotspots.


You can download Bluevibe Software in any of the different installation media supported (CD/DVD, USB, Live CD or Live USB). The installation process is fast and simple – watch the video here.

Internet via Bluetooth Software for Home Use

Heraklion, Greece, July 7, 2010 – Proximity marketing system manufacturers Bluevibe Ltd., have just announced the release of ‘Bluevibe@Home’, a Windows application that turns regular PCs (with Bluetooth connectivity) into Internet Access Points via Bluetooth.

Mobile Phones located in Bluetooth range of these PCs can access the Mobile Internet, using a custom-built mobile browser that works similarly to browsers on PCs. The mobile browser application, Bluevibe Mobile already numbers over 200.000 downloads, and is available from the GetJar Mobile App Store.

The functionality has been available through the company’s professional Proximity Marketing System (Bluevibe) since its version 2.0, and is now being made accessible to the general public, due to public demand, as a Windows application, that works with most Bluetooth dongles in the market, on the most popular Operating System, with support for all its recent versions (Windows XP, Windows Vista 32-bit + 64-bit and Windows 7 32-bit + 64-bit ).

The application installs on PCs seamlessly and then sets up a local Bluetooth network in which it broadcasts the broadband network available to the PC, forming an Internet Access Points for all nearby bluetooth-enabled mobile phones, with no need for WiFi support.

Mr. Vangelis Antoniadis, CEO of Bluevibe Ltd, explains the reasons for developing this software: “A lot of people completely outside the Proximity Marketing sector contacted us enquiring about the Internet via Bluetooth feature of our system. Obviously they didn’t need a complete proximity marketing system, which is why we decided to develop this application for the average home user, identifying a completely different market demand.”

“Our clients have already been using this sort of functionality since last year to turn their premises into Internet-enabled locations, providing Internet access to the vast majority of people present – not just those with a WiFi enabled device. TGI Friday’s in Dundrum, Ireland, are a prominent example, where more than 800 people used the system in the first 6 months following its installation.” commented Mr. Antoniadis. “We didn’t really expect it to do so well in a restaurant – where people go to eat and don’t usually engage in other activity – but we had close to 20.000 page views, most of them related to social networking sites such as Facebook and Bebo. And it makes sense: people want to stay connected even outside their homes. Given the response we’ve had in restaurants we’re pretty enthusiastic with what we could do with this in other spaces where people wait idly, such as airports, football stadiums, and other public spaces.”

Πρόγραμμα Ιρλανδικών Παραολυμπιακών Αγώνων σε Κινητά

Αθήνα, Ελλάδα - 22 Ιουν. 2010, Οι Ιρλανδικοί Παραολυμπιακοί Αγώνες, που πρόσφατα έληξαν, έγιναν η πρώτη διοργάνωση Παραολυμπιακών Αγώνων που χρησιμοποίησε mobile marketing ώστε να προσφέρει μία βελτιωμένη εμπειρία παρακολούθησης των Αγώνων. Χρησιμοποιώντας την τεχνολογία του Bluetooth, οι διοργανωτές έστελναν το πρόγραμμα των Αγώνων στα κινητά των επισκεπτών, το οποίο περιείχε επίσης πληροφορίες για όλα τα αθλήματα και τα γήπεδα στα οποία διεξάγονταν οι Αγώνες, καθώς και τουριστικές πληροφορίες για τοπικά σημεία ενδιαφέροντος.

Η Bluezone Media Ltd., ο τοπικός αντιπρόσωπος και μεταπωλητής του Bluevibe, ανέπτυξε μία ειδική εφαρμογή για κινητά, με το Πρόγραμμα των Αγώνων, η οποία λειτουργεί σαν ένα mini-website και περιείχε πάνω από 25 σελίδες με πληροφορίες για τους Αγώνες και τα γήπεδα του Limerick, στην Ιρλανδία.

"Η χρήση του Bluetooth για την αποστολή και αποθήκευση τέτοιων πληροφοριών, τις καθιστά ιδιαίτερα φορητές για τους επισκέπτες. Ο κάθε θεατής δεν χρειάζεται πλέον να κρατάει μαζί του τα φυλλάδια που μοιραζόταν έως σήμερα, για να μπορεί να έχει διαθέσιμες τις πληροφορίες. Ότι χρειάζεται είναι ήδη αποθηκευμένο στο κινητό του, το οποίο και έχει πάντα μαζί του." είπε ο Kevin O'Connor, της BlueZone Media. "Είναι ένα νέο εργαλείο marketing και ακόμη ένας τρόπος για τους διοργανωτές των Ιρλανδικών Παραολυμπιακών Αγώνων να περάσουν το μήνυμα τους στους θεατές και επισκέπτες. Οι Ιρλανδικοί Παραολυμπιακοί Αγώνες προσέλκυσαν πάνω από 1.900 αθλητές από όλη την Ιρλανδία, σε μια από τις πιο επιτυχημένες διοργανώσεις των Αγώνων έως σήμερα.
