The Bluevibe Browser

The Bluevibe Browser is the world's first fully interactive mobile browser based on bluetooth communication. It allows the users to enjoy a wide variety of entertainment and information services services. When they are in the proximity of a Bluevibe Hotspot (i.e. within a Bluevibe zone) the Bluevibe Browser can connect without any cost through Bluetooth. The users can still enjoy these services even when they are not in the proximity of a Bluevibe Hotspots, through GPRS/3G or even WiFi. The Bluevibe Browser allows two-way communication between the mobile phone and the Hotspot, providing exciting services to the mobile phone user.

Browser Services 

The available services built for the Bluevibe platform include the following:

• Bulletin board. Users can post messages in the bulleting board service and the rest of the community members can read it through their mobile devices.
• On demand access to web sites. This service allows the real time conversion of a web site to the Bluevibe browser markup language. It allows the users of the browser to access web content and to navigate through it using their mobile phones without the use of GPRS or other high cost means.
• Polls/Quiz. Polls can be created and run easily through the Bluevibe browser. Using their mobile phone the users can answer to a questionnaire or participate in a quiz contest. 
  
• Information Services. Information about products or real time news services can be offered to the Bluevibe users through the platform. These services are as easy to use as the navigation in web sites. The same information can be sent automatically to the users when they enter the proximity of the Bluevibe Hotspot (i.e. a Bluevibe Zone).
• e-coupons. Coupons can be sent to the visitors of an area in the form of images (barcode) or text containing a code that can be used for entering a contest or accessing special offers.
• Chat. The visitors of a Bluevibe enabled location can communicate with each other via text using their mobile phone and the Bluevibe browser. Users located near distant hotspots can communicate with each other through the relay mechanism of the service.
• SMS. Bluevibe platform bypasses the GSM provider and delivers SMS messages trough the internet over an SMS gateway. That way a company can offer free or low cost SMS messages to their existing customers and attract more, by making special offers. 
• Advertisements. Advertisements can be sent to the customers as soon they enter the proximity of a Bluevibe Hotspot. The advertisements can be a combination of text and images or even a video. In addition interactive advertisements like special offers, or product catalogs can be available through the Bluevibe browser. On frequent customers the advertisement service can be customized to send the right content to each customer depending on his/her previous selections, or previously provided area of interest.
• Subscription services. The users can subscribe to a service and as soon as they enter a Bluevibe Zone, information or multimedia content will be sent to their mobile devices.
• Download of Multimedia Content. Users can download multimedia content such as video, images, ring tones or even software to their mobile phone via the services offered through the mobile browser.
