The Bluevibe Hotspot

The Bluevibe Hotspot is the basic module of the Bluevibe Platform. It is responsible for communicating with the mobile phones and delivering content to them. It is your basic tool for a direct communication with your users and potential customers.

The Bluevibe Hotspot is a small device that can fit anywhere and requires zero configuration. Each Hotspot establishes a Bluevibe Zone around it, with a range of up to 80 meters, depending on the capabilities of the mobile devices within it. Within this zone, each Hotspot supports 21 simultaneous connections to mobile phones (upgradeable to 42). This means that each Hotspot can serve from 210 to up to 420 users can be served by each Hotspot.

Using the Bluevibe Manager, a web-based monitoring and administration application, you can manage all your Bluevibe Hotspots from anywhere in the world. From the Bluevibe Manager you can create and manage content push campaigns, view campaign statistics and much more.

 

Standalone  Hotspot

The Standalone Hotspots can be installed anywhere a power supply is available. They are ideal for deployments where an Internet connection is not available.  They share the same capabilities with the networked hotspots. In fact even the standalone hotspots are centrally managed from the Bluevibe Manager administration tool.

Using the Bluevibe Manager is the most efficient way to configure your standalone hotspots, and it allows you to have central management and know exactly what your hotspots should be doing. In addition both networked and standalone hotspots can participate in the same campaigns so you can have all your statistics together.

 

Networked Hotspot

Networked hotspots are the ideal tool for deployments where real time monitoring and update of the hotspots is crucial.

All parameters of the configuration of your campaigns and hotspots are controlled from the Bluevibe Manager administration tool and are automatically and securely transmitted to all your hotspots. You can have a whole fleet of networked hotspots scattered over a large area and manage them without ever having to leave your office.

Incorporating SIP (Seamless Installation Procedure) technology, the networked Hotspot only requires a power plug and Internet access, and it's ready to go. Thanks to SIP, new features and upgrades can be added automatically without the need to move, or even stop the operation of the Hotspot.

Additionaly the operation of the Bluevibe hotspots is optimized for GPRS/3G Internet connections for the minimum data transfer cost, in scenarios where the Internet access plan is traffic-based.
