Fire 2.2b Released

Fire v2.2b is available for download on the project's home page on sourceforge.net. This release is the latest stable version of the popular j2me UI toolkit and brings the latest bug-fixes and improvements to the last version released almost two months ago. Fire-j2me offers a set of themable UI components for top of the line mobile application development as well as rendering capabilities for XHTML and CSS.
It is used by Bluevibe mobile and tens of other j2me applications and ODPs offered by bluevibe.net, as well as other mobile application developers around the world and it just recently crossed the 10000 downloads mark! |

- Johnnie Walker - Don't Drink and Drive

For a period of three months from the 20th of March until the 3rd of May, in the spring of 2009 a campaign to inform citizens about the hazards of drink-driving is taking place in various public locations all around Athens, Greece. The campaign is run by Johnnie Walker, the world-famous brand of scotch whisky, in order to promote responsible drinking.

- Athens International Airport

The Athens International Airport has deployed a pilot Bluevibe installation, offering new bluetooth marketing and mobile services to airport visitors and travelers.
The services are provided through a special version of the Bluevibe Mobile application, named “AIA Browser”, which uses Bluetooth or WiFi to retrieve its live data. The pilot installation includes a number of Bluevibe Hotspots located in key areas inside the terminal building.
